Early audience engagement metrics indicate huge anticipation surrounding the project. According to tracking data reported by Sacnilk, the film has officially surpassed 1 million interests on the BookMyShow platform, making it the 14th Indian film in history to cross this benchmark. For Yash, this marks his second project to hit the 1-million interest threshold, following the record-breaking run of KGF Chapter 2.

International Advance Booking Performance

Beyond domestic interest, overseas tracking shows steady early momentum. USA premiere advance sales figures provided by Venky Box Office reveal that Toxic has grossed $146,251 with six days remaining before its first screenings. The collection stems from 6,787 tickets sold across 700 shows in 256 locations.

In terms of regional demand within the US, Texas leads the revenue chart with $52,688, followed by California at $23,791. Language-wise breakdown highlights that the Telugu-dubbed version is driving the bulk of early sales at $83,580, supported by strong diaspora turnout in major metropolitan hubs. The original Kannada version follows with $62,487, while the Hindi version remains at a slow start of $184 from 12 tickets. While current pacing appears slower than the pre-release trajectory of KGF Chapter 2, overall sales are expected to accelerate once full-fledged bookings open across all major theater chains.

Strict Adult Certifications in India and Overseas

The nature of the film’s visual content has also drawn significant attention. The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) assigned Toxic a strict ’18’ rating alongside a 5/5 score for violence, sex, and injury detail, citing heavy depictions of threats, drugs, sexual violence, and self-harm.

In line with international ratings, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in India granted the movie an ‘A’ (Adults Only) certificate. Director Geetu Mohandas appears to have crafted a dark, adult-oriented action narrative that strays from traditional hero-centric tropes, targeting a mature cinema audience.
