The anticipation for South superstar Yash’s upcoming film Toxic is reaching a fever pitch. As advance ticket sales open, the early numbers are already making major waves across all formats and languages. The movie has recorded a stellar start in the Hindi-speaking belts, where total Hindi advance bookings across 2D, IMAX 2D, and 4DX formats have combined for 109,242 tickets sold and a gross collection of over ₹4.11 crore across 7,463 shows. This performance outpaces the total final advance sales of major Bollywood releases in 2026.

Format-Wise Breakout of Hindi Advance Sales

A detailed breakdown of the Hindi ticket sales highlights how viewers are filling up screens:

  • Hindi 2D: The standard 2D format dominates the volume with 106,573 tickets sold across 7,278 shows, generating ₹3,90,16,785 at an Average Ticket Price (ATP) of ₹329.
  • Hindi IMAX 2D: Premium large screens have registered 1,558 tickets sold across 91 shows, bringing in ₹12,50,080 at an ATP of ₹694.
  • Hindi 4DX: Motion and atmospheric screens have collected ₹8,70,940 with 1,111 tickets sold across 94 shows at an ATP of ₹740.

Combined across all formats, the Hindi total stands at 109,242 tickets generating ₹4,11,37,805 in revenue.

Surpassing Major Bollywood Releases

With over 1.09 lakh Hindi tickets sold, Toxic has easily crossed initial expectations and crushed the total final advance booking figures of several major 2026 Hindi titles. It has surpassed Akshay Kumar’s Welcome To The Jungle (~52,000 tickets), Alia Bhatt’s Alpha (~40,000 tickets), and Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 (~38,000 tickets).

Furthermore, it has already leapfrogged mid-tier targets like Cocktail 2 (70,000 tickets) and Bhooth Bangla (72,000 tickets). The film is now fast approaching heavyweights like Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 (1.24 lakh tickets) and Sunny Deol’s Border 2 (1.45 lakh tickets).

Overall All-India Box Office Impact

Nationwide across all languages (including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam), total advance sales for Toxic have hit 272,420 tickets across 9,071 shows, earning an impressive ₹11.92 crore. Kannada leads the total gross revenue with ₹7.77 crore across 2D, IMAX 2D, and 4DX formats, while Hindi follows closely as the primary driver for volume across north India.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic stars Yash along with an star-studded cast including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tovino Thomas. Driven by this huge early response in the Hindi market, trade analysts project a massive opening day collection exceeding ₹30 crore for the Hindi version alone.
